High School Soccer: Marina High School
Mike started all four years at Marina High School. He holds the career record for most shutouts and best GAA, team MVP as a sophomore and senior, and three-time first-team All-Sunset League. Mike was also CIF first team as a senior and member of the high school 2002 All-Star South team and the 2002 All-CIF Division II team.
Club Soccer: Pateadores

Mike played from 2002-2006. He red shirted his freshman year in 2002. In 2003, Mike appeared in 18 games in goal, starting 17 of them. That year he recorded 58 saves while leading the Bears to a Pac-10 second-best seven shutouts. He also achieved second best GAA in Pac-10 (0.96) as well as honorable mention All-Pac-10. In 2004, he contributed to four games, starting in only only one. He recorded six saves and one shutout. In 2005, he saw action in three games for the bears. He also recorded the final penalty kick against Santa Clara in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, to send Cal to the sweet 16. He made the Pac-10 Championship team with the Bears in 2006.
Mike began his coaching career as a goalkeeper coach and graduate assistant at Cal State Fullerton in 2006, and coached at Pateadores SC in 2006-08. He served as goalkeeper coach for Irvine Strikers Youth Academy from 2010-12 and for the Orange County Blue Star PDL U23 and European Tour from 2009-13. Mike spent 2009-14 at Concordia University Irvine, working with both the men’s and women’s programs as an assistant coach and goalkeeper coach. Mike is also active in both the club and prep ranks, as well as serving as a private goalkeeper coach. Aside from LMU, he currently serves as the West Coast Futbol Club U16 head coach, the goalkeeper coach for the entire club and the Associate Head Coach. At the High School level he is the Goalkeeper Coach for Servite High School in Anaheim.
