Post Game Anaylsis

The U-18 Pateadores drew away from home against FC Golden State for their season opener in San Bernardino, CA.

Throughout the match, FC Golden State threatened Pateadores’ defensive line.

The home team focused their plays through the wings and whipped in several dangerous crosses.

Pateadores on the other hand, could not find a consistent tempo in the midfield.

Both teams contested many loose balls in the midfield but neither found the back of the net.

Jordan Aldama, Pateadores’ goalkeeper, proved to be the difference at the end of the match.
Aldama made two consecutive saves during the first nineteen minutes of the match.

Harold Hanson, FC Golden State’s striker, struck twice from a corner during the first half but it was Aldama who impressively anticipated Hanson’s efforts on goal.

After the match, Aldama shared some quick thoughts on the performance of the team.
“I thought we played okay,” said Aldama.

“We tried playing out from the back; we created a couple chances. Every fifty-fifty ball we came out and won every battle.”

While applauding the work-rate from his teammates, Aldama still believes the team can improve on their finishing.
“Other than that we did good, we keep going, go back to training and work hard for next week.”

'98/'99: FC Golden State vs Pateadores (September 3, 2016)

Pre-Match Analysis

As Pateadores’ pre-season comes to a close, the U-18 squad will face tough opposition in
the form of FC Golden State. FC Golden State started their last season at home with a 4-2 win over Arsenal FC but at the end of the season they were not able to make it to playoffs. Unlike the 18's FCGS' 16's made it to playoffs group stage and moved onto the quarterfinals. It was a different story for Pateadores as they lost on the road in their first season game against Real Salt Lake AZ. They were able to look past that and ended up getting form throughout the season eventually landing a wildcard spot and moving on to playoffs group stage. Pateadores will want to hit the ground running on their season opener after a productive pre-season with a record of 1-1-0. Coach Francisco Diaz will want his U-18 boys to claim an important away season-opener match. Saturday’s season opener between Pateadores and FC Golden State will be played at Highland, California, 10:00 AM.
